Hip-Hop Techniques Workshop at Old Town School of Folk Music (October 2018)

In a 2-part workshop series, participants of all music levels worked collectively on a Halloween based hip-hop song from scratch. Jovan Landry covers the origins and elements of hip-hop, creating an instrumental in GarageBand, lyric writing, and vocal recording.

Synergy Hip-Hop Techniques Workshop at Experimental Station (August 2019)

Written, produced, and recorded by The Synergy Workshop Collective at Experimental Station in Chicago. Mentored & Assistance by Jovan Landry and Sundé, the 6-day Hip-Hop Technique workshop covered all of the fundamentals of being an all-around versatile artist from music production, songwriting, recording, performance, music video production, collaboration & marketing. Oh? Women Can Produce, Too? at A3C Conference and Festival (October 2019)

Inspired by Synergy's release, this interactive workshop is inclusive for women attending A3C who have curiosity in beat making or want to brush up their skills. The goal is to understand different perspectives when collaborating.

Black Girl Genius Week, Hosted by Saving our Lives Hear Our Truths (June 2019)​

Black Girl Genius Week makes the social life of Saving Our Lives Hear Our Truths celebration with Black girls public in as many ways as we can imagine. We take over the city so that everywhere we go; you can't escape SOLHOT. We delight in the racialized, gendered articulations of Black girl genius and show it off. We create new media, culture, ideas, and representations of Black girls that are genius! We advance cutting edge black girlhood art, theory, and practice. We teach-in, reunion, exhibit photography and sculpture exhibitions, kick back, studio, organize with Black girls, and party together. Black Girl Genius Week in Champaign is SOLHOT's third Black Girl Genius Week, including Columbia, South Carolina, and Chicago, Illinois.
